We require an enthusiastic and well qualified graduate to lead the Physics department and to take on the new role of Head of Science. We teach IGCSE triple and dual award and all the sciences are very popular at A level.

We are looking for a candidate who can raise the profile of science in our school, and who will be responsible for coordinating existing clubs and societies, and for leading an excellent team of science teachers in enthusing and inspiring our pupils.
The post is challenging but this is an exciting time to be joining us. We moved in to our new school in September 2010, with state of the art facilities. You should have a strong commitment to ensuring students work to the highest standards and are able to make excellent progress. In our new school, the Science Department forms part of the Global Learning Zone, which
also includes Geography and PSHE, in a mix of specialist and general learning spaces.
There are opportunities for team teaching and for accommodating visiting speakers for more than one group, with a 90 seat lecture theatre available on the ground floor.
We need a full - time permanent Science Teacher for September 2011 with the skills, qualifications and experience to enable them to teach Science throughout KS3 & 4 and Physics to KS4 and A level students in our newly built school, with excellent facilities for innovative Science teaching.
A TLR2 payment may be available for an experienced Physics teacher who is ready for a leadership role but NQTs are also welcome to apply. They will also act as tutor to a group of students.
